After rumors of drug use, triggered by rumors of infidelity and an alleged love child, Wendy Williams and her husband, Kevin Hunter, are officially taking steps to end their longstanding marriage, Page Six reports.
The couple jumped the broom back in 1997, and more than 20 years later, the union was plagued by rumors of Hunter’s infidelity, thanks to a year-long investigation by Daily Mail. In fact, in the investigative report, the publication revealed that Hunter had been involved in a 10-year affair with a woman named Sharina Hudson.
Though Williams initially denied the allegations in an attempt to save face, sources say the daytime talk show host launched her own investigation into the claims with a private investigator. The confirmation then catapulted Williams into an alcohol and drug-fueled depression, leaving the host to recover in a Sober House.
However, the turmoil didn’t end there. After learning of the birth of Hunter’s alleged love child, Williams reportedly fell into a drunken stupor. But now, amid all the drama, the two are considering calling it quits, or at least looking into their options to do so.
“There is a discussion about what happens now – everyone is asking, ‘How can they possibly stay together?’ Wendy still loves Kevin, but her health is at stake,” a source told Page Six, highlighting the fact that Hunter is Williams’ manager and partner in Wendy Williams Productions. “They are so tangled up together in business, so they are carefully looking at what a separation could entail. It will be difficult.”
