Ari Lennox Detained in Amsterdam for Disturbing Public Order

Dutch military police said that R&B singer, Ari Lennox was arrested this morning at Amsterdam Schiphol airport for disturbing public order.

“I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me,” Lennox wrote on Twitter this morning, following another tweet in which she accused “Amsterdam security” of hating Black people.

Lennox was detained for her behavior toward an airline official as well as being drunk in public, per Dutch military police.

“Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down,” spokesman Robert van Kapel said. “That’s why she had to be taken into custody.”

According to Van Kapel, it was unclear how long Lennox would be held because police were examining reports of possible threats made by Lennox during the incidents.
