Ariana Biermann, the daughter of former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak, has officially resolved her DUI case stemming from a 2022 arrest, just in time for the debut of her new Bravo show.
The 23-year-old reality personality entered a guilty plea last Friday to reduced charges of reckless driving and possession of drug-related items. In exchange, prosecutors dropped the original DUI and other related charges, including underage alcohol possession and an improper lane change.
Instead of jail, Ariana will now serve two years of probation, pay fines totaling more than $2,000, and complete 40 hours of community service. She must also avoid all alcohol and non-prescribed drugs, take part in a substance abuse evaluation, and complete a Victim Impact session. The judge made it clear that breaking any of the terms could result in jail time.
Her lawyer, Justin Spizman, told Page Six, “Ms. Biermann maintained her innocence since her arrest. We are pleased that the State of Georgia eventually decided to dismiss the impaired driving charge and offer Ms. Biermann the opportunity to plead guilty to a traffic ticket. Despite her desire to fight this case, she took advantage of the opportunity to put this matter behind her and focus her energy on all the positive endeavors in her life.”
Ariana was just 20 when she was taken into custody in August 2022, after being suspected of driving under the influence. The incident quickly drew headlines due to her family’s reality TV fame and the fact that she was underage at the time.
Her legal resolution comes just ahead of the premiere of Next Gen NYC, Bravo’s latest reality series spotlighting the children of some familiar faces.
The show premieres June 3 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
