After splitting earlier this year from Gomez, the 30-year-old singer has entered a new romance with Broadway alum and “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater. According to a source, the couple has been quietly and affectionately rebuilding their friendship since the split.
“Ariana and Dalton separated in January,” a source told PEOPLE. “She and Ethan recently began dating, and he is separated from his wife.”
Despite the relationship not working out in the end, an insider revealed that Grande still speaks fondly of Gomez, noting that he was her biggest supporter during their marriage. On the other hand, Slater tied the knot with his high school classmate Lilly Jay in November 2018. In January, he joyfully announced the birth of their first child by sharing a photo of a onesie with the words “Wicked Cute.”
Slater shared a somewhat ambiguous post about their new baby, stating, “Super vague post, but we have a baby now.” He later confirmed on Mother’s Day that they had indeed welcomed a son. However, it’s still unclear when the couple, who had been together since 2012, actually decided to split.
