Ariana Grande and her husband, Dalton Gomez, are the latest victims of breakup season, filing for divorce this week.
Months after news of their separation began to circulate, Gomez and Grande filed to legally split on Monday. The two noted their actual date of separation as February 20th, 2023, Page Six confirms. In a July report from People, sources claimed that the two were no longer in marital bliss due to their demanding careers. Grande temporarily moved to the U.K. to film “Wicked,” while Gomez remained in Los Angeles building his luxury real estate empire. In the end, the distance seemingly proved too much.
Both parties noted “irreconcilable differences” as their reasoning for the split. There seems to be a prenuptial agreement to protect Grande’s $240 million net worth and Gomez’s $20 million reported net worth. However, multiple outlets have reported that Grande will be giving Gomez a one-time payment in accordance with their prenup.
Neither Grande nor Gomez has spoken out publicly about their divorce, but they join a growing list of celebs who have called it quits in recent days. Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness have decided to part ways after 27 years of marriage. Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert announced their separation after seven years as husband and wife. Even Jeezy and Jeannie Mai parted ways after a short two-year marriage.
Nevertheless, we send best wishes to Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez.
