On the heels of her record-breaking feats, including but not limited to becoming the most-followed woman on Instagram, Ariana Grande is taking her talents back to Manchester, two years after tragedy struck at her show.
On Monday, the “Thank U, Next” singer took to Twitter to announce the news, saying, “Manchester babes, I’m so thrilled to be headlining pride,” Grande wrote. “my heart. I can’t wait to see u and I love u so much.”
While Grande’s return will not be her first since the 2017 terrorist attack, where a suicide bomber killed 22 concert-goers and himself, it will reportedly be the singer’s first time in the city since her One Love Manchester Benefit Concert, which kicked off two weeks after the incident.
“We are beside ourselves to have you performing for us,” the festival said in response to Grande’s performance news. According to E! News, Grande will be joining the likes of Years & Years, Bananarama, Kim Petras and more at the August 25th Festival show.
