Famed YouTuber Armon Wiggins is setting the record straight after a viral courthouse moment stirred controversy.

The internet personality, who has over 285,000 YouTube subscribers and 105,000 Instagram followers, faced backlash this week after he was caught on camera celebrating outside a Manhattan courthouse following Diddy’s partial acquittal. In the footage, Wiggins and others were seen dancing, laughing, and pouring baby oil on themselves, a reference to Diddy’s alleged “freak-off” parties, which prosecutors detailed in his 14-page federal indictment.
But many interpreted the scene as Wiggins celebrating Diddy’s legal win and making light of the victim’s ordeal. While the hip-hop mogul was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges, he was found guilty of transportation with intent to commit prostitution.
Wiggins addressed the outrage in a social media statement on July 3rd.
“I’m learning, I’m listening, and I’m moving forward with even more care and clarity,” he wrote. “What started as a lighthearted moment, part of a long-running joke with my audience, was misinterpreted as support for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. That was never my intention.”

He continued, “For the past 60 days, I’ve worked hard to cover this case with honesty and objectivity… I fully understand how the timing and optics may have felt hurtful, especially to survivors of abuse. I sincerely apologize to anyone who was impacted or disappointed.”
Months before the verdict, federal agents reportedly seized over 1,000 bottles of baby oil during raids of Diddy’s homes, a detail his attorney Marc Agnifilo challenged. “I don’t know what you need a thousand for… He buys in bulk, you know?”
Wiggins has been a fixture in New York as the proceedings took place, recapping the details for his massive online audience.
