Arnold Schwarzenegger Donates 25 Tiny Homes To Homeless Veterans In Los Angeles

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to be Santa Claus this year. The former actor donated 25 tiny homes for the homeless veterans in Los Angeles.

Arnold shared the news via Twitter saying, “Today, I celebrated Christmas early. The 25 homes I donated for homeless veterans were installed here in LA. It was fantastic to spend some time with our heroes and welcome them into their new homes.”

Arnold dished out $250,000 of his own money and partnered up with the nonprofit Village For Vets to build the tiny homes.

Tiny homes have become a new trendy thing in the state of California. In recent years, tiny homes have been a model to decrease the state’s homeless population. The homes are about 64 square feet each and can be quickly built. Each tiny home comes with two beds, a small desk, and full heating & air-conditioning.

These homes are being considered lifesavers for some of the homeless veterans. One vet, in particular, Ferris Keams, told Fox 11, “No squirrels and no rats. It’s home.”
