Aruba Accepting Applications for the “Easiest Job in the World”

Aruba is hiring a weather person who doesn’t have to have all the formal education.

The Aruba Tourism Authority plans on hiring someone who will spend a week on the island to do the “world’s easiest job.”

The island is known to have more sunny days than the other Caribbean islands, Travel and Leisure reported. Because of that, the weather person doesn’t need experience because they’ll likely report the same sunny day forecast, except for a few cloudy days here and there.

“So often, unexpected weather conditions force travelers to reschedule their long-awaited vacations. Fortunately, Aruba is blessed to have consistently clear, sunny skies, making it the perfect destination for visitors to explore and enjoy any time of the year,” Aruba Tourism Authority CEO Ronella Croes said in a statement provided to Travel + Leisure. “Through the ‘World’s Easiest Job’ campaign, we are aiming to find the perfect weatherperson to help us showcase the island’s wonderful weather.”

The lucky person hired will take over the island’s weather reporting duties on Aruba’s social channel for six nights and 7-days. The new hire will spend their week at the destination’s new Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, within walking distance of the beach.

Those interested should visit aruba.com/WorldsEasiestJob, register, and submit a “best 30-second Aruba weather report.” And to give those applicants a little more ledge, the tourism authority dropped a hint for the sample weather report: It’s “probably 80° and sunny.”

Applications are open now through March 31.
