Beyoncé’s longtime dance captain Ashley Everett is setting the record straight about her eyebrow-raising absence on the Renaissance Tour.
Many online sleuths have speculated that the stage mates had a falling out. Others believed she was fired in favor of newer dancers. However, Everett says none of that is the case. Instead, the 34-year-old is ready to focus on new opportunities after performing alongside the superstar for 17 years.
“Obviously, working with Beyoncé has been incredible, and I’ve learned so much from her,” Everett told People. She admitted that during the pandemic, she realized that her entire adult life had been dedicated to working with Queen Bey. Everett first appeared in the videos for “Get Me Bodied” and “Greenlight” from Bey’s 2006 “B’Day” album. From there, she remained a staple in nearly every major performance.
She began exploring other ventures, many of which involved television, recently appearing on “The Masked Singer” and “Good Trouble.” The renowned dancer has also been in the latest commercials for brands such as Nissan, Home Goods, and Pepsi, alongside singer Bad Bunny. Another passion of hers that was birthed during her time at home was her lifestyle company, Cachet Brands, which she shares with her partner, Jay Burton. The brand specializes in various CBD wellness products. Additionally, Everett has found success as a fitness guru, offering her FitChoreo workout program to her 570,000 Instagram followers. Needless to say, Everett remains booked and busy. While the entrepreneur may be enjoying her time away from tour life, she remains an avid supporter of Bey and is extremely grateful for their time together.
“The memories are instilled in me forever,” Everett shared.
