Multiple people have been killed in a shooting at a shopping mall in El Paso, Texas. NBC News has reported that at least 20 have been killed, including an infant, and more than two dozen injured.
Police responded to an active shooter earlier this afternoon at the Cielo Vista Mall.
According to a police spokesman, Sgt. Enrique Carrillo, a suspect is in custody, and there is no longer danger to the public. The suspect in custody has been identified as 21-year-old Patrick Crusius from the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Authorities have confirmed that earlier reports of multiple shooters and multiple shooting locations were not accurate. Investigators believe that there is no further threat to the area.
The motive for the shooting has not been released. Story is still developing.
