Atlanta Man Found Guilty of Shooting Victim Over Game of Uno at a House Party

According to police, a man in Atlanta was found guilty of aggravated assault for shooting a man over a game of UNO.

On Dec 13, 2020, it was reported that Taylor Grant, 34, of Cobb County, shot a guest at his cousin’s party after the two began arguing over a card game.

Grant allegedly shot the victim in the bicep and threatened to kill him.

Assistant District Attorney Nemonie Nooks said, “Intoxication seemed to be the catalyst for the events of December 13th. However, it was no excuse for Grant’s excessive force.”

According to reports, the victim took an Uber to Grant’s residence, where police later found the victim and told police that he was shot in a drive-by shooting.

When the victim returned to California, he underwent several surgeries and informed Cobb County police of what had occurred. The victim also testified that he lied about the drive-by because he didn’t want anyone to get in trouble.

Additional testimony from partygoers and the victim’s doctor was also heard by the jury.

Grant was found guilty of aggravated assault charges.
