Police in Atlanta are trying to figure out why a gunman got out of a car near a crowded lounge in Buckhead and fired shots into a crowd of people on the sidewalk early Sunday morning.
According to 11 Alive, cops said an officer heard shots fired around 2 a.m. in the area of Pharr Road and North Fulton Drive in Atlanta. Their investigation determined that the incident took place at the Blue Restaurant and Lounge, in the Buckhead Village.
The responding officer found a woman who had been shot in the leg on the scene. She was then transported to the hospital listed as “alert, conscious and breathing,” they said.
Police then learned that two adult males were already at the hospital, both with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Their condition was not clearly known, but cops said they were listed as “stable.”
Police claim that a white vehicle with two occupants stopped near the location, with one man exiting the passenger side and opening fire into the crowd in front of the lounge before getting back inside the vehicle and fleeing the scene.
“At this time, investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting,” police said in a statement.
