The attorney who represents one of the defendants in the Young Slime Life RICO gang trial in Georgia has been released on bond.
News broke Friday that attorney Nicole Fegan, who represents Tenquarius Mender, was arrested for contacting a suspect who police say was connected to a September 2022 shooting of two men in Northwest Atlanta.
She was released Friday evening after posting bond.
The Atlanta Police Department told WSB-TV that Fegan was arrested in Gwinnett County on warrants out of Fulton County charging her with participating in criminal street gang activity and criminal solicitation to commit the offense of tampering with evidence.
Officers told the outlet that Fegan called a suspect that she was not representing as an attorney, and told him that there was a warrant for his arrest and to “dispose of his phone as police were going to arrest him.”
Defense attorney Renee Rockwell later confirmed that Fegan was granted a $40,000 bond and maintains her innocence.
