Aubrey O’Day, the former Danity Kane singer and protégé of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has publicly stated she will not be testifying in Combs’ ongoing federal trial. This clarification comes after a social media post sparked speculation about her potential involvement.
In the premiere episode of the iHeart Radio podcast “Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Present: Aubrey O’Day, Covering the Diddy Trial,” O’Day addressed the rumors directly. She explained that while she had been contacted and met with Homeland Security, she is not planning to take the stand.
The speculation began when O’Day posted a video from New York City on May 14, captioned, “Hey New York!!! Where y’all think I should head first?” accompanied by a scales of justice emoji. Many interpreted this as a hint at a court appearance. However, O’Day clarified that the post was not indicative of any legal involvement.
Combs, who was arrested in September 2024, is facing serious charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. He remains in custody without bail. The trial, which began on May 12, 2025, has already seen emotional testimony from Combs’ former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who accused him of abuse and coercion.
O’Day’s podcast will continue to cover developments throughout the trial, providing insights and commentary on the proceedings.
