With Diddy’s federal sex trafficking trial entering its final stretch, former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day made it clear she’s thankful she wasn’t asked to take the stand.
“I don’t wish for things like testifying in a federal trial,” O’Day told E! News. “Those aren’t things I wish for. I wish for inner peace and a really good boba tea. I don’t wish to sit on the stand in federal trials.”
Despite speculation she might be summoned after her former bandmate Dawn Richard testified, O’Day explained, “This wouldn’t be a situation in which I’m meant to speak in, because these are specific crimes.”
As the case winds down in New York, prosecutors and the defense have offered their final arguments. Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik stated Diddy “used power, violence and fear to get what he wanted,” calling it a “methodical pattern of violence, coercion and manipulation.”
Defense attorneys claimed Diddy was a swinger and even an abuser, but not a sex trafficker. Richard previously testified to witnessing the mogul abuse ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. With explosive testimony, celebrity spectators, and high-profile allegations, this trial remains one of the most closely watched federal cases in recent years.
