August Alsina reveals that he’s abstaining from sex and the reason may be a little shocking.
After the release of his new single “Shake The World” on Tuesday, August decided to interact with his Twitter fans in a Q&A session. Referencing his new song, a fan chose to shoot their shot at the New Orleans native asking, “@AugustAlsina when we shaking my bed? #ShakeTheWorld.” August then replies, “I ain’t having sex. I gotta keep harnessing my energy and life force to continue summoning energy for all the spells that’s been casted.”

In a follow-up tweet, another fan said, “This ni @AugustAlsina just said I put a spell on you…. So we playing with Voodoo now #ShakeTheWorld.” It was unclear of August was joking or not but he did respond, “Who said we playing.” However, August says he was speaking the truth.

Nevertheless, August seems to be pretty adamant about his decision. But as far as his latest single, August does touch on his entanglement with Jada Pinkett-Smith. At the end of the verse, August says “I heard it’s some sh*t that’s bound to go down when you got a billion dollars on the elevator. Well, of course some sh*t was bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favorite.”
If you’re not up to speed, in 2020 August revealed that he was in a relationship Jada. He also shared that Jada’s husband, Will Smith, gave August his blessing to date his wife. Jada initially denied the relationship but later confirmed the entanglement with Will on her ‘Red Table’ talk show.
