Fans of Avril Lavigne’s ex, Mod Sun, showed their solidarity for him at a recent show where they collectively screamed, “F**k Tyga.”
To give a bit of back story, Lavigne and the “Rack City” rapper have gotten close in recent weeks. The two were even spotted locking lips during Paris Fashion Week recently, pretty much confirming their blossoming romance. Though a fresh new love is brewing, Lavigne was thought to be engaged to Mod Sun just last year. Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, confirmed the two parted ways shortly after the news of Lavigne’s new fling hit the internet. They’d been together since at least 2021.
Neither the rocker nor Blac Chyna’s son’s father has made a public statement about their relationship. However, that didn’t stop fans from taking aim at the new couple during Mod Sun’s recent NYC performance.
Tyga has a pretty impressive line-up of women in his past. In addition to Chyna, the Cali musician has dated Kylie Jenner and allegedly Iggy Azalea. While Lavigne seems like an unlikely match, the two appear smitten with one another.
Making the viral moment even more iconic is Mod Sun’s longtime friend Travis McCoy egging on the crowd to continue the chant. Sources close to Mod Sun claim he is devastated by Lavigne moving on from him, so more shows will likely include the “F**k Tyga” segment until his broken heart is mended once again.
