It’s been 84 years…..and the girls are still fighting.
The beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has been brewing for the past three years, and at this point, many are over it. Now, the drama seems to be bubbling over into the female rap universe, with several up-and-coming rap girlies feeling the need to pick a side. It all resurfaced with the release of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” Queen Mix, featuring JT, BIA, and other rising women rappers like Maliibu Mitch and Akbar V.
Now, after a week of back and forth, subtweets, and profile picture updates, Azealia Banks is weighing in on all the drama, and according to her, only one person is to blame.
“I am here in Home Depot to tell all you f*cking rap bitches that y’all some f*cking chicken head ass f*cking bitches,” the “Anna Wintour” rapper began. “The fact that this bitch that would not give a f*ck about you on any other fucking day, would never collab with you, never share her platform with you, is making all you bitches risk your own fucking platforms, your own fucking shit, like your own reputation, to do her dirty work that this pussy ass bitch is too scared to do. All you bitches look stupid, and y’all bitches some doger ass fucking bitches. Each and every one of y’all.”
JT and Cardi B got into it earlier this week after JT congratulated Glorilla for debuting Top 10 for her “Tomorrow” remix with Cardi B. Fans immediately questioned JT’s motive for leaving Cardi out of her congratulatory tweet, to which she claimed to be a result of a character limit. But Cardi quickly caught wind of what many deemed as shade and proceeded to subtweet the City Girl. After an extensive back and forth that ended with Nicki Minaj changing her profile picture to JT and Cardi changing hers to Remy, fans began to suggest that the entire ordeal was a plot orchestrated by Nicki Minaj.
“And what’s the saddest part about it is that a lot of y’all bitches for a long time, y’all was in Cardi’s face, ‘Oh, we like you, we like you,'” Azealia continued as she explained her own relationship with the Bronx rapper. “And Cardi, come on, stop taking the bait. Stop taking the f*cking bait. You did shit that like niggas in rap can’t even fucking do. You got a diamond single; you got a fucking grammy,” she said.
“Let her take that L, and you stay out of it, please,” Azealia continued, adding that she was disappointed in JT.
“JT, you’re my favorite city girl; what the f*ck are you doing in the middle of this? You’re a f*cking star,” she said as she teased her return to music.
