B5 is speaking out about what they say really happened during their time on Bad Boy Records.
When speaking with HipHopWired, the R&B group says Diddy stood in the way of their chance at superstardom by blocking a deal with Disney Channel.
The group says they had major momentum in the early 2000s, especially through Disney.

B5 recorded multiple tracks for Disney projects like That’s So Raven, High School Musical, and Hannah Montana. With nine songs in rotation on Radio Disney, they say that Disney was ready to offer them their own show.
But that deal didn’t happen. B5 claims Diddy refused to let them out of their Bad Boy contract unless Disney paid a high price.
“Puffy wanted a certain amount of dollars for that, which Hollywood wasn’t like, ‘Aye, that’s a big check,’” the group said. “The show, the idea that we ended up creating with them ended up being switched over to another group… and that was The Jonas Brothers.”
As you know, The Jonas Brothers ended up with the show and went on to become major pop stars, while B5 says they were left behind.
The group also says their time under Diddy’s label came with more than just missed opportunities. In recent interviews, B5 accused Diddy of grooming and abusing them during their time as teen artists.
Diddy, currently facing several lawsuits and federal investigations, has not responded to their claims.
B5 is best known for their 2005 hit “All I Do.”
Currently, they’re still active, touring, releasing solo music, and promoting their new 2025 EP, Still Think About You.
