Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and his wife Nicole Patenburg have decided to divorce after seven years of marriage.
The couple announced in a joint statement that they would be parting ways peacefully.
In a statement to TMZ they shared, “After much thought and with great sadness, we have decided to end our marriage. We continue to care and have respect for one another and share eternal love for our daughter and her well-being.” They added, “We ask for personal privacy for ourselves and our daughter as we navigate these new steps as a family.”
According to TMZ, it’s unclear when the couple will officially sign divorce documents or legal separation.
After seven years of dating, the singer and former actress married in May of 2014 and had one 12-year-old daughter named Peyton Nicole.
