On Tuesday, Babyface announced a “Girls’ Night Out” album featuring some of the hottest hip-hop and R&B female artists in the industry.
The album, which will be released on October 29, will feature artists like Ari Lennox, Kehlani, Ella Mai, Queen Naija, Doechii, and others.
Babyface’s upcoming album, which comes after his Def Jam release Return of the Tender Lover in 2015, will be his 11th overall and his first after joining Capitol Records.
“I am extremely honored and humbled to be signing to a legacy label like Capitol. They have welcomed me with open arms and treat me like family. And, in the end, that is what it’s all about – doing what you love with people who have the same love for music as you do,” he said in a statement.
“I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it. The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale,” he added, referencing his work on the soundtrack for the 1995 movie. “I’m excited for the world to hear.”
