Bad Bunny went viral after a video showed him throwing a fan’s phone into a body of water, and he isn’t backing down on why he did it.
On Monday, Bunny responded to the incident, saying it’s all about respect for him.
“The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect,” he said in a tweet on Monday, translated from Spanish.
“Those who come and put a f—ing phone in my face, I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect, and I will treat it likewise,” he continued.

The alleged incident took place in the Dominican Republic. The video shows Bad Bunny walking with a group of people when a female rushes beside him with a phone in hand.
At first, she is filming herself while standing close to Bunny so that both faces are in the frame.
Bad Bunny is then captured on film, grabbing the phone and throwing it into the air. It sounds like the phone landed in the water.
There have been mixed feelings about Bunny’s response. Many have slammed the artist for how he went about it, but some have defended him, saying the woman violated his privacy and personal space.
