When it comes to the power of social media, it only takes one viral video for someone to be considered a “celebrity.”
For one very angry “5-foot” man, who was recorded having a meltdown at a Long Island bagel shop last week, newfound fame might have just landed him a boxing career.
On Monday, it was announced that Chris Morgan signed a deal with fighting promoter Damon Feldman and he plans to go head to head with other “celebs,” TMZ reports. Despite his size, Morgan is quite confident that he’s ready to get in the ring with anyone.
His first fight is scheduled for September 7 in Atlantic City. However, his opponent hasn’t been confirmed. According to Feldman, Morgan could be facing someone else who gained popularity on social media, like Antoine “hide yo kids, hide yo wife” Dodson.
If the streaming and ticket purchases are where they need to be, Morgan can be expecting a whopping 5 to 6 figure payday.
While critics who’ve seen the viral video of Morgan ranting about women on dating sites have called him “insecure” and “misogynistic,” this wasn’t his first time he was caught being unruly in a public place. Morgan apparently has a YouTube channel where he verbally attacks others. Through his featured content, Morgan has been labeled both racist and homophobic.
We aren’t sure if his Bagel Boss blow up was for publicity, but boxing may be the best way for him to blow off some much-needed steam.
