The fashion piece, which strikingly resembles a large roll of transparent adhesive tape, has sparked widespread amusement on social media in China.
This accessory was part of Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2024 lineup, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, as reported by The Independent in the UK.
A TikTok video by the influencer @highsnobiety showcased the bracelet, which appears to be a simple roll of clear tape, branded with the Balenciaga logo.
Chinese social media users have quickly jumped on the trend, creating and sharing their spoof versions of Balenciaga’s bulky bracelet. According to the Instagram influencer @myfacewheno_o, the bracelet is available in three sizes and is rumored to be priced at a minimum of 3,000 euros ($3,300).
