Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga will now allow customers to pay with cryptocurrency.
As cryptocurrency grows more and more popular, companies are finding ways to make it an acceptable form of purchase. According to Hypebeast, Balenciaga will start taking crypto payments at its flagship stores located in Beverly Hills and New York.
There are no details on how the payment process will work, but the news outlet reports that Bitcoin and Ethereum may be some of the cryptocurrencies it will take.
“Balenciaga is thinking long-term about crypto, and fluctuations in currency value are nothing new,” said the company in a statement. Gucci and Kering have also announced the acceptance of cryptocurrency as payment.
