Baller Alert Radio: “The Culture Deserves It,” featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 16th episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the hosts kicked off the show with a discussion about the New York Times interview, where Jay-Z talks the stories behind Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” and his own, “4:44.” He also divulged about marriage, identifying with the truth, and understanding the difference between a trend and forever. Many gems were dropped in that interview to say the least. The hosts then discussed the White House’s new infestation of mice, roaches and ants, in addition to Trump’s admittance of obstruction of justice. Although the Celebrity-in-chief came forward and revealed that he drafted the tweet, he also said Trump cannot be guilty of obstruction of justice, as president. Which is, in fact, false since the head of state isn’t above the law. As if that weren’t enough of Donald Dump, the hosts talked about Trump’s endorsement of a child molester.
As the episode continued, Burns discussed Matt Lauer’s sexual misconduct allegations. Although many men within the entertainment industry have suffered consequences for their actions, meanwhile Trump and Roy Moore are still pursuing politics. The hosts also discussed Britney Spears’ Christmas video as well as Tami Roman’s take on Christmas, “Christmas is for your damn kids.”
Next, Rari read this week’s Baller Mail, where a woman asked for help on how to tell her boyfriend that she had once had relations with his friend. Although it was in the past, what would you do? Although Su Solo says to leave the past in the past, Burns has a different take on the topic. At that point, for the men, that relationship is done. What are your thoughts?
As the episode began to wind down, Su Solo dished on this week’s Comment Creepin, featuring Issa Rae. Over the weekend, a fan requested that the writer put her hit show on Netflix, however, Rae’s show is on HBO, which offers its own subscription app. So, basically ole girl needs to hop on the HBO wave.
Finally, the host transitioned to Kenfucious says, where Burns revealed “holding on to your past, will trap you from your future.” Check out the full episode below:
