Baller Alert Radio: “The Culture Deserves It,” featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 17th episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the hosts kicked off the show with a discussion about Donald Trump’s sexual misconduct accusers who spoke out to hold the Celebrity-in-Chief accountable for his actions. They also touched on the botched terrorist act in New York City’s Time Square, where the terrorist, who claims ISIS-inspired him, strapped a suicide pipe bomb on his body. The man tried to detonate underground in the city’s Subway tunnel but it failed. Luckily, only four, including the bomber, were injured and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The hosts also discussed Gabrielle Union’s book, “We’re Going to Need More Wine,” where she shared her thoughts during a meeting with the young star, Ryan Destiny. Union explored her insecurities in realizing Destiny may be the next person in the lane that Union has created for herself in the media. And although it’s natural to feel a way, it doesn’t help that society constantly compares the likes of two prominent figures in their respective industries. There will never be another Michael Jackson, so there is no need to deem anyone as “the next.”
Next, the host touched on the latest R.Kelly drama. From his sex slave situation to the recent burglaries of his Atlanta homes. Can you still support R.Kelly after all of the controversial news that has been surrounded around him for years?
As the episode continued, Ferrari Simmons discussed this week’s Baller Mail question, “Are Cell Phones Ruining Date Night?” As a result, Burns came up with a new rule to follow when out on a date with bae, check your messages while you’re eating.
Su Solo then goes into this week’s Comment Creepin, where Tamar Braxton called out her sister, Toni Braxton, for her relationship with Birdman. Ultimately causing speculation about whether or not the two have gotten engaged or even married.
To wrap the episode, Kenfucious shared a special message to listeners.
