Baller Alert Radio: “The Culture Deserves It,” featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 9th episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the host recapped the Revolt Music Conference that went down in Miami last week. Burns shared a few jewels from the #AskDiddy panel, where he discussed how to get to the bag. In addition to the panel, Queen Latifah was honored at a gala during the conference and the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill performed.
The hosts also discussed the recent developments in the Nelly rape case, where his accuser asked police to halt the investigation. Although the accuser believed she couldn’t stand up to Nelly’s celebrity status, many felt that her refusal to proceed with the investigation meant she lied about the whole thing. While that may not be the case, Su Solo explained the difficulties that alleged rape victims face after accusing a celebrity of sexual assault. As a result, Burns believes celebrities should get consent tapes from their potential sexual partners to keep false rape allegations to a minimum.
Burns then spoke on Kevin Hart’s marketing genius, by capitalizing on his mistakes and turning the negatives into positives with the launch of a new comedy tour centered around his irresponsibility.
Next, Simmons divulged about the 30-day rule. When is the right time to have sex? Although people give in to the urge more quickly than others, Burns believes you should always wait. Not necessarily the whole 30-days, but waiting long enough to get to know someone before you open yourself up to someone sexually.
Su Solo then discussed 50 Cent’s beef with Wendy Williams in this week’s Comment Creepin’ segment. She also touched on Yandy Smith’s comment about Kimbella, who called her out for being fake for social media. Su Solo advised that if you have friends that you haven’t spoken to in a while, call them – do not stunt for social media.
Finally, to wrap it up, Kenfucious dropped some jewels to end the episode about appreciating what you have and knowing what you need in your life.
