The Baller Alert Show, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 34thepisode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the hosts discussed Robert Dinero’s powerful statement at this year’s Tony Awards. Not only did Dinero denounce Trump at, arguably, “the whitest”award show, the much of the crowd applauded the actor’s sentiment. “F*ck Donald Trump.”Shortly after, the hosts transitioned to another huge gathering, this time for music.
Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert kicked off this Sunday, but in true Summer Jam fashion, there was a bit of controversy in connection to the show. First, Tekashi69 was banned from the legendary stage, despite his popularity in his hometown. Then, during a segment involving Bun B and Slim Thug, the station mistakenly tweeted, “Underground Kings! Pimp C just came out w/ Megan Ryte. Problem is, Pimp C passed away 11 years ago.
In turn, the station tweeted its apologies to the family and friends of the late rapper, saying, “Earlier tonight an inadvertent tweet was sent out stating that ‘Pimp C was on stage with Megan Ryte.’We deeply apologize to family and friends of the late Pimp C as well as Bun B for the terrible error.”
The hosts then went on to discuss a few current events, including the disturbing story about the woman who carried children in dog kennels. Long story short, the hosts agreed that the woman should be punished. Next, the host talked about yet, another, movie on the death of Notorious B.I.G. Are you going to see this movie, or would you rather the Brooklyn-bred legend rest in peace?
As the episode continued, Burns shared his thoughts on the now-ended Pusha T and Drake beef. Although J. Prince has called it off, and Pusha has revealed that he’s “off that”the hosts believe Drake will send one final shot on his album. What do you think?
Finally, the hosts discussed the fate of LeBron James. The baller has until July 1stto make his decision; will he stay in Cleveland? If not, where will he go?
In the next segment, Simmons discussed this week’s baller mail, which discussed turning in one’s player card after having found “the one.” However, amid the lies and constant buffoonery that came before one’s own revelation, who said the woman would be here for it?
As the episode continued, Solo shared this week’s comment creepin and Burns shared his words of wisdom. Which segment is your favorite?
