The Baller Alert Show, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 41st episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the hosts started off the segment discussing this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, and its importance — or lack thereof.
To kick off the discussion, the hosts first addressed Madonna’s tribute to Aretha Franklin, which turned into a several minute-long rant about the struggles within her own life. While Black Twitter dragged the legendary songstress for her botched memorial, Madonna did reveal, later, that she had no intentions on giving a tribute in that moment. Nevertheless though, the entire ordeal was a disaster.
As the hosts continued, the three analyzed Jennifer Lopez’s performance at the awards show, ahead of her Video Vanguard Award acceptance. During the discussion, the hosts scoffed at the idea that Jenny from the Block lost her flavor in her older age. “I think she did amazing,” Solo said.
Next, the hosts discussed Nicki Minaj’s rant and attack on Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner and their little baby, Stormi, over her No. 2 album behind “Astroworld.”
“You are the Queen, you are at the pinnacle of your career, Why?” Burns asked of Minaj’s antics.
The next topic of discussion was the slides Kanye West rocked at 2 Chainz’s wedding, which fans pointed out to be too small. But of course, the rap star couldn’t care less about the critics.
In the next segment, Solo highlighted a comment from Lil Kim on a post of an old Nicki Minaj interview with Angie Martinez, where she explained how people are going to go down in history as a sore loser instead of the queen for putting other people down to make themselves feel better. In turn, fans called her out for the hypocrisy in comparison to her words from 10 years ago to now.
To end the episode, Kenfucious discussed disappointment, check out the full episode below:
