The Baller Alert Show, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 46th episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the hosts discussed the altercation between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets, specifically the physical fight between Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul. The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter of LeBron James’ home debut and erupted over Rondo’s unintentional mouth moisture.
As video footage surfaced of the incident, which has since been deemed “SpitGate,” many, including Rari, found issue with Bron’s decision to separate Paul instead of his own teammate. However, both Burns and Su Solo suggested that Bron’s actions were based on his relationship with Paul, who is the godfather to his children, as well as the fact that it was easier to diffuse the situation by separating Paul, who was closer. Whose side are you on?
As the segment continued, the hosts discussed Kim Kardashian’s recent interview, in which she talked about her sex life with Kanye West and how its changed since giving birth. In fact, as part of the conversation, the hosts discussed Kim’s history of naked pictures post pregnancy. Do you think it’s okay to continue with risqué pictures when you have children, especially in the Internet Age?
The hosts also touched on Amy Schumer’s decision to forgo Super Bowl commercials to stand in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, “Meddling Madeline,” another white person who called the cops on a black person for nothing, and the shocking split between Cassie and Diddy after over a decade.
In the next segment, Rari shared this week’s Baller Mail about having children with a man with mental illness? How would you deal with this situation?
Next, Su shared a comment creepin’ from the Internet’s favorite troll, 50 Cent, about the Ashanti show that suffered from low ticket sales. However, the headline failed to mention that the singer was a stand-in for Teyana Taylor after scheduling conflicts forced her to cancel. Despite the facts, 50 used the opportunity to throw shots at his arch nemesis, Ja Rule, blaming him for the entire ordeal. What are your thoughts?
To wrap the episode, Kenfucious shared a few words of wisdom for Black Men.
