2024 was a crazy year, and these celebs definitely left their mark. From scandals to career highs, many of our favs gave us much to discuss. As the year comes to a close, let’s get into the Baller Alert Class of 2024 and their superlative wins:

Most Likely to Get Canceled: Diddy

Diddy couldn’t stay out of controversy this year. From the shocking sexual assault lawsuits to the industry drama surrounding his past. Social media debates were divided every time his name came up. Unfortunately, the drama will continue into 2025, as he prepares to go to trial next year for his sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Biggest Bag Getter: Kim Kardashian

Say what you want, but Kim Kardashian was in her businesswoman bag this year. Her SKIMS line collaborated with major brands, such as Dolce & Gabbana. Additionally, it expanded into men’s sleepwear and even hit the big leagues by outfitting the U.S. Olympic Team. Plus, her role on “American Horror Story: Delicate” showed that she’s not afraid to step outside her comfort zone.

Most Iconic Clapback: Rep. Jasmine Crockett

When Rep. Jasmine Crockett lit up Marjorie Taylor Greene in Congress with the legendary read: “Bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body,” during a. heated back-and-forth. Social media was in shambles for days, recounting the iconic drag. Crockett turned the moment into a merch collection with clapback tees, proving she knows how to capitalize on a mic drop.

Best Couple Energy: Ciara and Russell Wilson

While the internet kept talking about Russell Wilson’s on-field performance, Ciara and Russ kept thriving in their home life. From their flirty social media posts to their adorable red carpet moments, this couple reminded us what healthy, supportive Black Love looks like.

Most Viral Moment: Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s Beef

Kendrick Lamar sent the internet spiraling when his track “Not Like Us” threw shots at Drake back in May. As for Drake, he fired back with disses “Push Ups,” “Taylor Made Freestyle,” and “Family Matters.” Fans picked sides, memes flew, and the rap world was lit, with the majority crowning Lamar the winner.

Best Glow-Up: Gunna

Despite being labeled a “snitch” by some following his plea deal in the YSL trial, Gunna silenced critics with nothing but bangers this year. His album, “One of Wun,” debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200, with 91,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week. Additionally, he hit the road, with his fans proving they were riding with him no matter what. The Atlanta star showed what resilience looks like.

Class Clown: Druski

Druski had the internet crying all year. His “Coulda Been Records” live auditions and tour were comedy gold. The comedian’s relatable skits kept timelines buzzing. Whether he was clowning rappers or dropping funny promos, Druski cemented himself as the jokester of the culture.

Most Unbothered: Katt Williams

Katt Williams shook up 2024 with his explosive interview on “Club Shay Shay,” where he dropped gems, spilled tea, and called out the industry’s mess with no filter. While the internet ran wild dissecting his every word, Katt stayed calm, cool, and collected—like he knew he had the last laugh. Rumor has it he’s somewhere in the shadows rubbing his hands like Birdman, watching the year play out exactly as he predicted. Classic Katt!

MVP of 2024: Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick reminded the world why he’s a GOAT this year. His single Not Like Us sparked cultural conversations while topping charts worldwide. He also announced that he will headline the 2025 New Orleans Super Bowl Halftime Show, making him one of the most anticipated performers in recent history. Whether through music, live performances, or staying true to his artistry, Kendrick dominated 2024 like only he can.
