Being a Ballerific Woman isn’t always an easy position to occupy. It’s about expressing yourself whether you’re loud or soft spoken. Now don’t be fooled, this doesn’t make you a feminist but a woman who refuses to fit the “mold” of being a female. It’s about you as a woman finding your niche in even some of the most male dominant industries and staking your spot.
Let’s take a look at ballerific woman, Jeanette J. Epps.
Jeanette Jo Epps is a CIA intelligence officer, and current NASA astronaut. Born in Syracuse, New York, Epps now lives in Houston, Texas. Jeanette Epps holds a bachelor in science degree in physics from Le Moyne College, and an M.S. and Ph.D in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland. After graduating, Epps worked in research at Ford Motor Company, then as a Technical Intelligence Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. Epps was selected as an astronaut candidate in June 2009. She qualified as an astronaut in 2011. Epps also served as an aquanaut aboard the Aquarius underwater laboratory during the NEEMO 18 undersea exploration mission in 2014. All of these accomplishments truly make Jeanette J. Epps a ballerific woman.
