In her testimony, Jabbari stated that Majors assaulted her after she read a “romantic” text sent to the actor by another woman. According to her account, Majors tried to take his phone back from Jabbari, twisting her finger and pinning her arm behind her back. She also alleged that he struck her in the back of the head.
The New York district attorney formally charged Jonathan Majors with several counts of assault and harassment after his arrest in connection with an alleged domestic dispute. Majors faced charges including two counts of assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, attempted assault in the third degree, and harassment in the second degree.
