The film was the sequel to Cube’s 1995 film “Friday” and told the story of Craig (Ice Cube) who has survived a street fight with the neighborhood thug Debo, and is now forced to move to Rancho Cucamonga with his cousin Day Day and Uncle Elroy (Don “D.C.” Curry) after getting word that Debo is getting out of jail. Despite the change in location, Craig still manages to find himself in some trouble which provides tons of laughs along the way.

The film was grossed $57.3 million domestically and $59.8 worldwide. To this day it is the most successful film in the entire franchise.
