Lyte laid down this track at the age of 18, which featured samples by The Fearless Four and Lyte, herself. With production and writing credits from King of Chill, the song spent 18 weeks on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles charts, peaking at the No. 1 position.

However, its early accomplishments were not the song’s only accolades. In 2008, the song was ranked number 54 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop. It was also featured on the soundtrack for a video game in the same year.
