Ballerific Beauty: Givenchy’s $300 Le Rouge Lipstick

What is the maximum that you will spend on lipstick? I think the average woman has has spent from $15- $40 on lipstick. Well, Givenchy has decided that they will be releasing one of the most expensive lipsticks to hit the shelf. Le Rouge will be a limited edition crocodile skin-encased lipstick that will be selling at Barney’s this October for $300. Yes you read that correctly…$300! 

The label will be selling only 3,000 of the limited edition lipstick, which will come in a numbered gift box. If you happen to purchase the matte, deep red shade lipstick, you can reuse the the case with any other lipstick from the Le Rouge line.

The most I have ever spent on lipstick is $50 for Tom Ford’s lipstick which I thought was pretty steep. The lipstick is only for special occasions and I want it to last for the price. Now other designers like Chanel and YSL are not even that expensive for lipstick, maybe about $35-$45.
