San Francisco-based cosmetic surgeon, Edward Miranda, M.D. says that almost 75% of his daily female patients come to him seeking relief for under eye bags and dark circles. Dr. Miranda can assure readers that there are tricks and treatments to brighten up your eyes and wake up your skin:

· Puffy Eyes: try a cold compress for five minutes in the morning before you leave for work; caffeinated eye creams to stimulate blood flow
· Dark Circles: botanical skin lighteners like licorice and kojic acid work to lighten up the delicate skin underneath the eyes
· Lines & Wrinkles: retinol, antioxidants and peptides grow, rebuild and retain collagen levels and also reduce wrinkles
· Sagging Lids: only cosmetic surgery will fix lids that have begun to sag, but there are simple makeup tricks to reduce the signs of drooping lids
· What can a doctor do? No knife eye lifts to tighten and brighten your skin and eye lids, including: Botox injections, Chemical Peels, Lasers and Hyaluronic Acid Injections
