There’s nothing like Ballers giving back. It was announced Thursday that rapper, Slim Thug, plans to give back to his hometown of Houston in a major way.
Slim started his own construction company, Boss Life Construction, and has teamed up with Burns BBQ to provide assistance for local Houstonians in need of a home. The news of Thug’s plans to build and donate homes in Houston’s Acres Homes community, happens to fall on the city’s official Slim Thug Day.
On February 25, 2015 Slim Thug, real name Stayve Thomas, was awarded his own day by the city’s mayor Annise Parker and City Council Member Jerry Davis. February 25 was declared Slim Thug Day in honor of the rapper’s philanthropic work in the city including annual food drives, and now the building of new homes for those in need.
“We’re always striving to make our community better. That’s what the Boss Life is all about,” Slim Thug says via his company’s Instagram page.
