The Zero is an ultralight, 3D-molded footwear designed to make wearers feel nearly barefoot. Featuring a closed palm heel cup and an open covering for the big toe, the design strips away traditional shoe elements to reveal the essence of footwear.
Crafted from Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate, a foam-like polymer often used in athletic shoes, the Zero is part of Balenciaga’s Fall 2025 collection and comes in a range of colors suited to various skin tones. So far, the nude, brown, and black hues have been unveiled. Designers Beini Qian and Adrián Marc Perrot Garín have shared glimpses of the shoes on Instagram, sparking a wave of reactions online.
Balenciaga, known for its versatility, suggests wearers also pair the Zero with socks. Thankfully, Balenciaga offers a wide range of socks to pull off this rendition for those seeking extra drip. These unique shoes are expected to retail for $450.
