The day is Friday, May 10th, and as the week comes to a close, we are once again met with new heat to fill up our playlists. We also got some answers regarding the cryptic Future tweets, which some believed signaled a mixtape. If you recall, Future tweeted on Wednesday, “F**k yo album S**t ain’t slappin’ like my MIXTAPE.” He then followed up with another tweet that read, “May tenth.” Some believed this meant a new Future EP was coming Friday, which would have collided with Gunna’s latest album release.

It’s now known that Future’s initial tweets were simply lyrics to his new single with Tee Grizzley, “Swear to God.” Hopefully, this puts to rest the theory that he was being shady towards Gunna. Nevertheless, fans got new tunes, and multiple rappers likely have new hits on their hands. It’s a win-win.
