After a long week of adulting and keeping up with the DNC, New Music Friday has arrived as the perfect way to unwind ahead of the weekend.
Though primarily quiet compared to recent weeks, Florida rapper Luh Tyler delivered a new album titled “Mr. Skii.” The down South artist stuck to the formula that made him famous, incorporating samples for a mellow vibe that we can all float to. The 15-track project features a previously released single, “2 Slippery,” with Bossman DLow, and also gets assistance from Kodak Black and Veeze.
Cash Cobain was another rapper who released a full body of work with his project, “Play Cash Cobain.” The 19-track album only includes two features, Laila and Bay Swag, with Cash using the majority of the 54-minute listen to showcase his own abilities.
Elsewhere in singles, Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown surprised many when he delivered the new song and music video for “Just Do It,” featuring FERG. The tune is seemingly Brown’s rap introduction, which could mean he has more in store.
