New Music Friday is swirling with excitement, with one highly anticipated release that has been years in the making.
Kash Doll celebrated her ten-year anniversary as an artist with the release of her album, “The Last Doll.” The 14-track project finds Kash in her motherhood era while maintaining the luxurious Detroit flare we have grown to love. “The Last Doll” includes the previously released singles “Kash Kommandments,” “Power,” and “Comfy” featuring Tink.
Another album filled with feel-good R&B is Mary J. Blige’s “Gratitude.” The follow-up to 2022’s “Good Morning Gorgeous,” the songstress returns with 12 new tracks, including the previously unveiled “Breathing” featuring Fabolous. While Blige delivers her timeless lessons in love and resilience, she leans into her hip-hop roots with additional appearances from Jadakiss, Fat Joe, and Ferg.
The estate of Juice WRLD unveiled “All Girls Are the Same 2,” also known as “Insecure.” Making the release even more heartwarming is that it features Nicki Minaj. The two previously toured together in early 2019 before his untimely passing on December 8th of that year.
Rapper Lil Baby also returned with a two-pack, “Insecurities” and “5 AM,” which seemingly addressed social media talks of him “falling off” in recent years. Some have argued the QC star may have hit his peak, something he pushes back on in his new music.
“Ain’t it crazy how they try to play me like I ain’t the one / Ain’t said it, but you know without me, this s**t would be none,” he raps on “5 AM.”
This New Music Friday is packed with all the excitement and plenty of vibes to get your weekend started, with Cordae, Denzel Curry, K. Carbon, Monaleo, and even “Drink In My Cup” hitmaker Kirko Bangz.
