We’ve made it through another hectic week, and luckily, New Music Friday greeted us with plenty of good energy to get us through the weekend.
Rapper Lil Tjay returned with his “Farewell” project. The album is quite special as it marks a new beginning for the New York star, symbolizing his last commercial release with Columbia Records. Before his departure, Tjay tapped several heavy hitters for his last major release. These include NLE Choppa, Polo G, G Herbo, and Rich The Kid.
NBA Youngboy has also come back with his latest mixtape, “I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders.” The title is appropriate, as the rapper is currently serving a 27-month sentence in his federal gun case. He also recently pleaded guilty in his Utah prescription fraud ring case and was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine. His 16-track project sounds as fresh as his earlier releases and reflects his recent struggles, which Youngboy has long mastered in his music.
Additionally, there are plenty of new tracks from our favorite musicians, such as BossMan DLow, Queen Naija, Roddy Ricch, and Mike King, a Florida newcomer with a big message.
