Ballerific Music: New Music Drops To Start Your Weekend

As we countdown to Saturday, many are eager to hear which tunes have arrived for this week’s New Music Friday. While a much quieter day for artist releases, there is still plenty of heat to take beachgoers and day partiers into the weekend. 

42 Dugg released his long-awaited album, “4eva Us Neva Them.” Instead of waiting for Friday to arrive, the Detroit rapper unleashed the project on the Fourth of July holiday. The 21-track album includes a star-studded lineup with Meek Mill, Sexyy Red, Jeezy, Lil Baby, EST Gee, and more. 

Another artist who couldn’t wait until the week’s end to release was Childish Gambino. His single, “Lithonia,” arrived on Tuesday, July 2nd, days after he politely called out the BET Awards for not always recognizing his music. This serves as Gambino’s first release separate from his May album, “Atavista,” seemingly indicating that the creator is gearing up to unveil another full-length body of work.

In addition to these earlier-in-the-week drops, several other musicians came out swinging on Friday with new tunes perfect for the next 48 hours of leisure time.
