After a week filled with a disturbing news cycle, New Music Friday offers a welcome escape.
CMG rapper EST Gee returned with a new single, “My Love.” He is joined by Veeze and Rylo Rodriguez. The song was unveiled on Wednesday, with EST hinting that he would drop his album this week. Unfortunately, that did not happen, but fans are still happy to hear from the Kentucky star, who was quiet for much of 2024.
Rod Wave is another superstar who delivered for fans. “Westside Connection” is the newest single from the Florida star, which follows his usual style of melodic storytelling. The track follows his October 2024 album, “Last Lap.” It’s unclear if Rod has a new project coming or is simply giving his supporters something to hold them over.
Mac Miller’s estate released his latest posthumous song, “5 Dollar Pony Rides,” the first single from his forthcoming album, “Balloonerism.” The new music arrived nearly seven years after Miller passed away. Thankfully for his diehard fans, the rapper had plenty of unreleased material before his death, which helps to keep his memory alive today.
As we navigate the coming days and a much-needed weekend, there are plenty of good tunes to go around.
