Ladies, Do we ask the right questions when getting to know a man? I ask the question, because so many of us blame the man for our heartache and disappointments.
When your getting to know a guy that you’re interested in, we should treat it like a interview for a corporate position for your heart. We have to go beyond the basic questions. Think about it, when you go on a interview they do not just give you a job because you look the part.. they ask you a series of question to see if you would be a good fit for the company.
If you get the job, they put you on at least 45 day probationary period, because you may have talked a good game during the interview, but now it is time to show and prove.
After the 45 days, they start giving you incentives for being the employee, I.e. insurance, vacation, 401k. What if we took the same approach getting to know a man? Many of us would not be just a booty call, shocked when he disappears and stop calling or finding out about other women. We can’t always blame the man if we did not ask all the right questions.
The man will tell you about himself within the first 30days. We have to use our gifts that we were born with, our eyes, ears and intuition. Get him to open up about what is he looking for, about past relationships and why they did not work, is he quick to blame the women or talk bad about them? What are his goals? Is he too secretive? Open your eyes OBSERVE and LISTEN.
If a man tells you, he is not looking for anything right now BELIEVE him. Don’t think that he is afraid of getting hurt( nobody wants to get hurt) you can’t change his mind with how good you look, your charm and not sex.. Men usually don’t get emotionally attached and fall in love having sex with a stranger. Sex to most men is like an itch on their back, they do not care how they scratch it, they just have to scratch it. When the itch is gone, he is done until the itch comes back. When you make them work for their incentives, they will respect and care for you. If not walk away. We as women often turn a blind eye because he is fine, he has money, and you are trying to “come up” or you are tired of being single. We miss or ignore all the red flags. If you want, a relationship do not, settle for “casual” in hopes of changing him. If you agree to casual, you may become a casualty. Don’t be afraid of what he’ll think if you ask too many questions, because you are the recruiter. Single don’t always mean lonely, and relationship do not always mean happy.
