Ballerific Relationships: But Will He Accept My Past?

Each and everyone of [us] have secrets that we’ve vowed to take with us to the grave. Like most women, you offer information on a “need to know basis” and being that your past is nothing he needs to know, you keep those skeletons barricaded deep in your closet that hide behind last seasons wardrobe. Living life with no regrets, free of worry, making choices and decisions along the way. Being accepted has never been one of your main concerns because the opinions of others have never really mattered that much to you. You didn’t realize just how much you’d like to truly be accepted by another human being until you’ve felt like you’ve met your soul mate.

But lets back up for a moment, one of the best parts of meeting someone special is the that he has to get to know you. He may be from another city, runs with a complete different circle of friends or the two of you just live two totally different lives such as his social and financial status or career which has kept you off of the radar…….He has the slightest idea of who you’ve slept with, who’s homies you’ve smashed, the happy homes you’ve destroyed, what you did at last years All-Star Weekend, the number of men you’ve been with, just how Thotful you were over the holidays, your deceit, your bed of lies, and your naked truths. Ignorance is bliss isn’t it? And as soon as you think you’re in the clear, assuming that he doesn’t know the real you, like most men, they will go looking for your dirt, dig it up and re-plant it. Yes, men can be very resourceful ladies, never ever underestimate them. It’s like women are great at being sneaky and hiding things but men are excellent at unraveling and unveiling your secrets.

Men invented “Ho-Fax” and will have you going from sugar to shit real quick! However, women are very sophisticated and strategic in the way we handle situations of this nature. You can confess or you can deny the accusations, however you decide, just do it with grace and own it. So many men are infatuated with playing the role of God, believing that they have the power to hold you to your shame. They too have pasts and hell, some of them have presents and futures that aren’t too bright. Needless to say, things like this wont effect you in the least bit if you hold yourself accountable for your actions. From your lips to Gods ears. No secret is a secret if you told your girlfriends or if you had someone participate in the act with you.

Real men will love you despite your past ladies and it wont be of his concern because that was your life before him. His only concern is offering you something to add to your life, something that you wont have to hide, something that you can share with the world. If he cant accept you and admits it, it’s because he is concerned with how the rest of the world will view him and frankly, he’s not the one.
