Ballerific Relationships: Should A Spouse Tell Their Significant Other Where They Going If They Are Going Away Days At A Time?

Should a spouse tell their significant other where they are going if they are going away for days at a time?

The subject came up recently on an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta when Drew Sidora confronted her husband Ralph Pittman about disappearing for days without letting her know where he is going.

“You didn’t answer my phone calls, you didn’t talk to me, you didn’t text me back,” she says to him. Ralph defends his actions, still refusing to divulge any details about his absence.

First off, letting your significant other know where you are going is respectful. They have no way of knowing if something happens to you if they don’t know where you are or what you are doing. It will cause them to worry unnecessarily when a quick conversation could have avoided those feelings.

Before you enter into a relationship with someone, make sure you are ready to give up all the secretive behavior. Once again, that is a sign of respect. If you respect your spouse, you will be open and honest with them at all times.

The fact of the matter is, if you don’t feel the need to tell your spouse where you are going for days at a time, then you are not ready for the responsibility of a relationship. Period.
